Villagers of Andharua in the Chandka area here have complained to the Khordha district Collector that a road from the Andhrarua bus-stand, Patna Sahi to Jatra Padia built under the PMGSY-II is of very substandard and with no tender guideline fulfilled.
“The Rural Development Department had awarded the tender to Narayan Bhoi, who sublet the work to Duryadhan Jena. Though the work started four months back, no tender guideline was implemented and it has been a substandard work,” villagers submitted to the district Collector.
Though contacted, the concerned Executive Engineer, SDO and Junior Engineer did not respond to villagers properly. Disappointingly, JE Chakradhar Behera, without verifying, said the work is perfect.
The contractors have scolded the Sarpanch with his caste’s name and even threatened him for life.
“Kindly look into the matter and take necessary action against the errant,” urged Sarpanch Dillip Tarai and many villagers.
Among others, Samiti member Ajaya Kumar Sethi, Ward Members Laxmikanla Pani and Hara Prasad Das Sallendra Jagdev, Manas Samantasinghar, Rasmi Ranjari Gadbad, Nirmal Maharalhi, Jyotiprakash Mansingh and Pradeep Badjena made the complaint.
The villagers sent a copy of the complaint to the PMO, CM grievance cell, the RD Minister and the local MP.
