Rains or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in coastal Odisha and many places in interior Odisha under the influence of a low pressure formed over the west central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal and the south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh Coast, informed the Met office on Friday.
According to a Met release, the low pressure is now located over the northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast. The associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above the mean sea level.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places in coastal Odisha while one or two places in interior Odisha are likely to experience heavy rainfall during the next 24 hours, the Met Department predicted.
The Met department advised the fishermen to be cautious while venturing into sea.
