Rain/ thundershower would occur at most places in the State during the next 24 hours, the Bhubaneswar Met Centre said in its afternoon bulletin on Saturday.
It warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places over south Odisha and heavy rainfall at one or two places over north Odisha during the next 24 hours.It said a low pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha and West Bengal coasts formed on Friday now lies over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of the two States.
Gusty surface wind reaching a speed of 35 to 45 kmph may prevail along and off the Odisha coast under its impact, the bulletin said, advising fishermen to be cautious while venturing into sea.
