Some married couples have even gone out of the State. Every year, it’s a craze to have an engagement or wedding performed on the Valentine’s Day so that the memory of love remains throughout.

This year too, hundreds of marriages were performed in the city on Friday. love is much larger than life and is not limited to the partner only. The show of affection was also made towards parents, elders and divine deities. “Who is your Valentine” is the most popular SMS of the day.

Toast with nutmeg coffee: Here’s something to surprise your partner and friends with, for this evening’s party. Nutmeg coffee is something which is liquor-free but gives you a relaxing feeling which makes you more vibrant for a get-together.

This is a very common party recipe in the western part of India. ladies can use it for kitty parties too. Grate the nutmeg (Jaiphala in Odia) to powder. Add a pinch like adding salt, maybe even less than that, to a cup of boiling milk.

Add sugar and let it boil for five minutes and then add coffee powder to the cup, pour milk into the cup and stir. Nutmeg consumption is not advisable in large quantities; so just add a pinch for the flavour and taste. Have the coffee hot as usual. It’s surely going to be a great Sunday evening.
