Bodies of a couple were found lying in a pool of blood in a closed room at Ariba village under the Gurandi police station in Gajapati district on Monday.
The deceased, identified as Sibal Dileswari (21) and Taluru Srinu (28), were in a relationship for quite some time. As the family members of Sibal disapproved their relationship and arranged to marry her off, the duo reportedly committed suicide. “Prima facie, it seems to be a case of suicide. But, it is yet to be confirmed. Exact reason of their death can be ascertained only after postmortem.
Inquest of bodies would be held in presence of Magistrate,” police said. A police team reached village and launched an investigation by questioning family members and neighbours of the couple.
