In a tragic incident, a young couple committed suicide over a feud between two families in Ganjam district.
Both the deceased belonged to Sunapali village under the Kabisuryanagar police limits in the district.
Locals found the bodies of the lovebirds hanging from a tree with a rope at the village in wee hours on Saturday.
According to reports, the couple was in love with each other, but they assumed that their relationship would not be accepted by their families due to a longstanding dispute between them. So, the duo chose to end their lives.
Receiving information, police reached the spot and recovered the bodies. A probe has been initiated into the incident.
