lopamudra Mishra, daughter-in-law of industrialist Trailokya Mishra, on Wednesday afternoon lodged a fresh police complaint alleging that some unidentified youths forcibly entered her paternal house in the Tankapani Road area here and threatened to kill her and kidnap her son if she further seeks help from police or media regarding the alleged torture case against her husband and in-laws.
“At around 8.30 am today, five to six people came by two vehicles to my house and forcibly entered my room. They started manhandling me. They tried to kidnap my son. When I resisted, one of them brandished a knife at me. Then, they threatened to kill me and my paternal family members and kidnap my son if I again go to police or media against Trailokya Mishra, Ashamanjari Mishra (her mother-in-law) and Sabyasachi Mishra (her husband),” lopamudra told reporters after lodging the FIR at the Badagada police station here. When asked whom she would blame, lopamudra said, “I will blame my husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law for this.” She too met DCP Satyabrata Bhoi in the evening and informed him about her plights. She urged Bhoi to provide adequate security as her and her son’s lives are in danger.
Notably, she had made allegations of mental torture against her in-laws and wife swapping charge against husband Sabyasachi before media on Tuesday. She too alleged that Sabyasachi was involved in sex scandals and has relationship with lots of women.
Though she had lodged an FIR at the Mahila police station here a month back regarding torture inflicted on her, police have not taken any action yet, she said. Meanwhile, Trailokya Mishra and Sabyasachi moved the Orissa High Court on Wednesday seeking anticipatory bail to evade arrest in the case lodged by lopamudra.
