A preliminary investigation reveals that the miscreants used axes and hammers to smash the ATM, but failed in their attempt to loot the cash, said police. On Sunday, the bank manager filed a FIR in the police station.

Nobody has been arrested and an inquiry with the help of a scientific team is on, said Binjharpur police station IIC Asit Mohanty.
