Jagatsinghpur district SP Jay Narayan Pankaj on Friday issued a lookout Circular against all accused persons named in the FIR in the case of murder of Seaways Shipping and logistics ltd general manager Mahendra Swain.
The FIR was lodged by slain Mahendra’s elder brother Rajkishore Swain on the day of murder on October 26. Rajkishore has alleged that Orissa Stevedores limited (OSl) managing director Mahimananda Mishra, director Basanta Kumar Bal and senior executives Subash Chandra Acharya and Deviprasad Tripathy are involved in the Mahendra killing case.
“We issued the lookout Circular to prevent accused persons from moving out of the State and the country. We have informed all airports, ports and other international check posts in the country regarding issuance of the lookout Circular against all accused persons,” said the SP.
However, he declined to give any information regarding the involvement of the accused persons in the murder case.
OSl MD Mishra and other staffs named in the FIR are now absconding, police said.
