Keeping in view the corona pandemic and lockdown, Jatani Congress MLA Suresh Kumar Routray on Wednesday postponed the planned gherao of the Lok Seva Bhawan which was called by him relating to the Lord Jagannath land dispute.
Routray told reporters that he had called for gherao by the end of May 19 with his supporters of Jatni block and municipality if their private land a are not restored in their names. The Government held a meeting on Monday with Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra discussing the issue with the Development Commissioner, the Jagannath Temple Chief Administrator and Secretaries of different departments and assured that the Government is very much aware of the matter and would try to sort out the issue within four to five months, said Rautaray.
