A Rashtriya Lok Adalat was organised by the Ganjam District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) here on Saturday.
A total of five benches disposed of 86 motor vehicle accident cases and issue orders for payment of compensation of total Rs 3.52 crore to families of injured victims and deceased. Four general insurance companies and various private insurance companies participated.
Besides, 129 pre-litigation cases were disposed of and orders issued for payment of compensation of Rs 74,02,685. These apart, 129 criminal cases and 57 civil cases were disposed of.
The Adalat was held under the chairmanship of DLSA Charina Ram Shankar Hota was attended by Judges of all courts.
