On the occasion of the birth anniversary of great freedom fighter Saheed lakshman Nayak, a Swachchh Bharat campaign was organised at Reddy Sumandi village under Chikiti block on Monday morning. The villagers participating in it took an oath to keep their surrounding clean.
Sanskarvadi founder and social worker Trinath Maharana graced the campaign as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he said that each village family should participate in the sanitation drive so that the dream of Mahatma Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has given a call for ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ can be fulfilled. On the occasion, the members of Radhe Radhe Sangh led by its chief Chintamani Sahu decided to actively participate in the campaign and undertake cleaning activity in the village once in a week. Among others, sarapanch Bairi Behera, Naidu V lakshman Reddy, Parbati and Uma joined.
