Residents of VSS Nagar and 10 nearby mouzas, including Mancheswar, Chakeisihani and Satya Vihar, would block the service road at Vani Vihar on June 11 at 9 am in protest against the delay in completion of the subway there.
Underground Road Sangram Samiti chairman Er Krushna Chandra Sahu informed this at a Press meet here on Saturday.
“Though it has been four years since the construction of the subway began to connect VSS Nagar to Saheed Nagar, but it is yet to be completed. People belonging to more than 10 mouzas, including residents of VSS Nagar, are facing problems to move to interior parts of the city. We have requested the NHAI officials umpteen times but in vain,” said general secretary Dillip Dashasharma.
Among others, Subhas Chandra Samal, Maheswar Biswal, Sital Chandra Mohanty and Durgapuja Sampadak Samiti were present.
