LL, DL process to be more stricter in State

Published on:

The process for Learner’s Licence (LL) and Driving Licence (DL) would become more stringent but user-friendly, informed the State Transport Authority (STA) on Friday.

CCTV cameras would be installed at all LL test centres of the 38 RTOs by the end of this month.

The video footage would be monitored by the STA to make the test process transparent. The LL test centre of RTO, Cuttack would be on public domain on a pilot basis and anyone can see the LL test centre and observe the test process. The viewing link of RTO Cuttack LL centre will be available on STA website.

As the candidates are facing difficulty in handling the mouse while appearing for the computerised LL test, the existing computers would be replaced by touch screen computers in the RTOs by March 2021.The candidates would be provided LL mock test kiosks in the RTOs for preparation ahead of the test.
