To ensure a foolproof process for e-auction of liquor shops, the State Cabinet on Saturday approved the proposal of the Department of Excise (DoE) to hand over the job to Central PSU MSTC limited. Earlier, it had been decided to undertake e-auction through the NIC. But in view of the anticipated pitfall in the current NIC e-auction website, the DoE proposed for outsourcing the e-auction process to the MSTC, an enterprise under the Union Ministry of Steel. The DoE is going in for e-auction of the IMFl Off and country liquor (CS) shops for the year 2015-16 to generate more revenue. The MSTC would be charging its fee for handling the e-auction process, to which the Cabinet agreed.
