Defending its e-auction system as per the 2013-14 Excise Policy, the State Government on Thursday decided to file an SlP in the Supreme Court challenging the orders of the Odisha High Court soon.
The State Cabinet also allowed continuance of existing licences of IMFl “Off” shops and country liquor shops till the interim order of the High Court or disposal of the SlP or up to end of March 2014.
Earlier, the Government had decided to grant extension for further two months, up to July for continuance of the existing shops honouring the HC’s interim direction in response to the litigations challenging the modalities of e-auction.
