A 50-year-old convicted killer at the Jharsuguda Sub-Jail died following a cardiac arrest on Thursday. He died on the way the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
Jail Superintendent Urmila Minz informed that Ramesh Chouhan belonged to Chhattisgarh. He was convicted with life imprisonment in connection with a murder case under the Brajrajnagar police station in 2010.
He felt chest pain and fell down the during prayer class in the jail premises. The jail authority took him to the DHH, where he was declared dead. An UD case has been registered by the Jharsuguda police. The body was sent for postmortem.
