The Centre for Advocacy and Research (CFAR) organised the ‘Dissemination Meet’ here on Friday.
Inaugurating the meet, BMC Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena said, “I appreciate the effort of the CFAR team and the community researchers as they pointed out many important issues related to the schemes implemented by the State Government for the urban poor and unorganised sector workers.”
The Mayor requested the CFAR to submit the list of all people who do not have ration cards and assured that the BMC would find out ways to solve the issues.
The CFAR members shared the key findings of a community-cantered baseline study on ‘Extent and Quality of Access of Marginalised Women in Key Welfare Schemes, Programmes and Entitlements.’
The Mayor urged the community to apply for Rajiv Awas Yojana being implemented by the BMC and assured them of complete support from the corporation.
BMC Deputy Mayor K Shanti said, “The BMC would extend full support to all the people who are waiting to get the ration card, Aadhar number, and voter and labour cards.”
