The DAV School of Business Management (DSBM) organised a seminar on “Vision Odisha-2030” to ignite the vision among its pupils to make Odisha a State of pride in the country by 2030.

DSBM Principal Dr DN Mishra urged students to be multitasking in order to achieve their ambitions. DAV Institutions Chairman MM Panda motivated the students by citing various examples and illustrating a comparison between India and the US.

The DSBM’s budding managers expressed their views on various sectors like education, industry, agriculture, tourism and urbanisation. They also opined that one should not only think about the Smart City project but should be more focussed towards making Odisha a Smart State.

Cluster Head, HDFC Bank, Bhubaneswar, Anant Patnaik, who was the keynote speaker, observed that digital banking is the ultimate need of the future; and in order to be a developed State by 2030, Odisha should adopt digital banking.

Head, Odisha Corporate Communication, JSPl, Prasant Kumar Hota, who was the chief guest, pointed out that procrastination has been the greatest stumbling block in the progress of Odisha. He concluded by saying, “We must look forward for smart villages so that people who migrate from Odisha will come back.”

The event was coordinated by Faculty in Management Anjali Panda and Faculty in Economics Jayashree Swain.
