A female leopard body was recovered from Thakurgarh-Athamallik road at Kukudadara under the Hatidara Reserve Forest close to the Satkosia Tiger Reserve. After getting information, Divisional Forest Officer Sunil Kumar Dalai with staff rushed to the spot, seized the carcass and got its postmortem done. The forest officials said the leopard might have dashed with a vehicle on the road. Meanwhile, Angul Wildlife Warden and environmentalist Prasanna Kumar Behera demanded that the Hatidara Reserve Forest be included in the Satkosia Tiger Reserve and signage be put up along the road for the motorists to reduce the speed of vehicles.
