Following the arrest of BJD-supported Khuntakata panchayat sarpanch Rajesh Nayak by the Kolkata police, Athagarh Block Development Officer (BDO) Ajay Parida has intimated the district administration to initiate legal proceedings against him for the sake of dignity of the administration.
Sources said the BDO has forwarded the affidavit submitted by Nayak at the time of filing of his nominations to the district administration urging for legal proceedings. More than 50 cases including murder, robbery and gang war are pending against Rajesh Nayak in Kolkata.
