Demanding stringent action against all fanatic forces and Government officials responsible for the Bhadrak communal violence and against spreading of rumour through social media and to stop communal tactics for political polarisation by the Sangh Parivar in the name of religion and cow protection and also appropriate compensation for all victims, a mass protest was held here on Monday by different left, democratic and progressive forces.
The protest was organised by the forces like INSAF, GASS, All India Secular Forum, Mulanivasi Samata Parishad, PUCl, AISF, Odisha Dalit Adhikar Manch, All India People’s Forum(AIPF), lokshakti Abhijan, CDS, Kandhamal Peace & Justice Forum and Unorganised labour Union.
Parties like CPI, CPI(M), CPI(M-l)-liberation and Samajwadi Party also joined the protest.
Eminent persons like Abhiram Mallik, Tapan Mishara, Manas Jena, Suresh Panigrahi, Radhakanta Sethi, Sudarshan Pradhan, Ashok Sahu, Prof. Birendra Nayak, Prafulla Samantara, Satish Mishra, Dhirendra Panda, Biswapriya Kanungo, Pramodini Pradhan, Debaranjan, Prof Birendra Nayak, Amiya Pandav, Rumita Kundu, Alok Mohanty, Debasmita Panda, Dr Sricharan Behera, Pradeep Sahu, Basant Majhi, Bikram Swain, Mahammed Amin, Brajendu Mohanty,Bijay Parida, Sukadev Behera, Rajnarayan Dalua, Mahamed Ammin, Anil Kumar Mallick, Gohigobind Besra, Chittaranjan Barik and Narendra Mohanty took the leadership of the protest.
