Balangir District Congress Committee members led by leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Narasingha Mishra observed a ‘betrayal day’ here on Saturday as a mark of protest against non-fulfilment of promises made by the Modi Government.
“During 2014 elections, Narendra Modi had promised many things to people and generated a lot of faith among people. But after coming to power, he failed to fulfil those promises and, thus, betrayed people,” said Mishra.
He said Modi had promised to provide employment to two cores youth every year and fix paddy MSP at cost of production plus 50 extra but none of the two was met yet.
He again slammed the Modi Government saying hike in price of petrol and diesel has reached a new high hitting hard the common people. As the Narendra Modi Government has not fulfilled even one of it's promises people would certainly give a befitting reply to him in forthcoming days, said Mishra.
Among others, laxman Meher, Samrendra Mishra and Dilip Behera spoke on the occasion.
