n Members of the Dhenkanal District Lawyers’ Association on Friday ransacked the district Collector’s office alleging that the Collector had misbehaved with some lawyers earlier.
The lawyers reportedly manhandled the Additional Collector and ransacked flower pots, furniture, nameplates and glass panes at the office.
“The Collector ill-treated some of our colleagues by making them wait for a long time outside his chamber in connection with a land acquisition case. We demand an apology from him,” said an agitating lawyer.
Police forces were deployed at the Collectorate to prevent any further untoward incident.
