The lawyers of Puri Bar Association have filed a grievance petition with district Collector Samarth Verma against Tehsildar Rabindra Pradhan here Thursday for misbehaviour and non cooperation with them.
With around 50 lawyers as signatories, the petition urged the Collector to take action against Pradhan. The petition handed over to Sub Collector Bhabatran Sahu says that Pradhan is always non cooperative towards the lawyers and disallowing them to meet him. Giving a plea of him of being busy always, he is avoiding the lawyers, which is causing undue problems to their cases already pending in the tehsil office, the petitioners said. The noncooperative attitude of the Tehsildar is unnecessarily making inordinate delays of their cases also, they said. Worthwhile to note that, a week ago, a lawyer had also already filed an 1 CC case at the SDJM against the Tehsildar.
