Stepping up the pressure on the Government for the establishment of a High Court Bench in undivided Koraput district, by the call of the Central Action Committee of Bar Associations of undivided Koraput district, the Umarkote Bar Association will hold a 24-hour Umarkote Bandh on December 18.
"We have requested the youths, students and workers associated with various organisations to support and observe the bandh in a peaceful manner,” said president of Umarkote Bar Prasant Kumar Sahu.
The members of Bar Association would take out a bike rally around the town asking residents to make the bandh a grand success, Sahu added.
Notably, the association is on cease work agitation from December 15 demanding establishment of the Bench anywhere in the undivided Koraput district.
