Members of the Khordah Lawyers’ Association on Friday began a cease-work agitation, demanding arrest of all culprits who hurled bombs at the house of a lawyer in the Jemadei area under the Town police station. Some unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at the house of lawyer Satyakam Mahapatra on Wednesday night.
Mahapatra and his family members were asleep when some assailants threw two bombs targeting their house and fled the spot. The intensity of the explosion was so high that window panes, doors and outer walls of the house got severely damaged. Though the exact reason behind the bomb attack was yet to be ascertained, the Town police rushed to the spot and started a probe into the incident.
