Phani Bhusan Ratha was removed as president of the ATBN (Athagarh, Tigiria, Badamba, Narsinghpur) Advocates’ Association.
The decision was taken in a general body meeting of the association held on November 25 at Cuttack under the chairmanship of Satyabadi Mantry
Ratha’s activities were considered detrimental to the interests of the association.
He was also removed from the primary membership of the association also. Vice president of the association Mantry was nominated as the working president. The association will nominate its regular president at a meeting to be held in Cuttack on December 9.
Member of Odisha State Bar Council and adviser of ATBN Association Banoj Kumar Pattnaik, general secretary of Athagarh Civil Bar Association Prasanta Kumar Mishra, general secretary Bijaya Kumar Behera, president of Athagarh Bar Association Satyen Panda and secretary Bana Bihari Sahoo were present in the Press meet.
