Reacting to an order by the Odisha High Court to form a law and order review committee, BJP State President Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo on Thursday said that the recent incident of robbery in the house of a former acting Chief Justice at CDA was yet another sign of the deteriorating law and order situation in the State.
Citing the recent arrest of BJD patronized-Subhash Agarwal, head of ARSS, in the case of giving Supari to threaten and shoot a senior railway official in the city and the dacoity at the former Judge’s house, Sing Deo said the concern raised by the High Court on the seurity issue and its direction for formation of a panel is a slap on the face of BJD Government in the State.
The BJP time and again brought up the issue of severely declining law and order situation in the State under 15 years of BJD rule, said Sing Deo, demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who heads the Home Department.
