The 16th annual conference of Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons (IAGES) was held for the first time in the State at the SOA University here on Thursday on the topic “Expanding new horizons and meeting new challenges.”
The conference was organised by IAGES 2019 conference secretary Dr Sreejoy Patnaik and chairman Dr CR Das in which more than 1,500 delegates including international faculty attended.
In the meeting the delegates shared their knowledge, expertise and contributions to the development of future trends in laparoscopic surgeries.
Live surgery workshops were also held at the Sum Hospital. The oral and video presentations, e-posters, young innovators and the best presentations were awarded at the event, for the first time in the IAGES history.
