Under the direction of Gajapati SP Dr Sathyajit Nayak, a joint combing operation was launched by forces and a police team led Adavi IIC Anam lakra on
Thursday early morning in Paniganda grama panchayat in Gajapati district.
The operation was started at 11 am near Raigandra roadside where a landmine was seized. SP Nayak said in a Press meet that the landmine was old because now- a- days there are no Maoist incidents in Gajapati. District Volunteer Force, CRPF and Mohana police participated in the operation. The landmine was 35 kg. Four days ago, on January 10 last, a 7kg landmine was seized in Paniganda forest as well.
