A person was brutally hacked to death by unidentified miscreants at Satyangar near Achyutpur village under Industrial Area police station in Baleswar town on Saturday evening.The victim was identified as Ramesh Behera of nearby Ganeswarpur village in the district. Ramesh was engaged in some buying and selling of lands.Though the motive behind the murder was yet to be ascertained, the deceased’s family members suspect crime incident to be fallout of a land feud or old enmity.In evening, Ramesh went to Satyangar when he was attacked by some miscreants with sharp weapons leading to his death on spot.Getting information, police rushed to spot and sent body for postmortem. “There are multiple deep cuts on his body and we suspect, he was attacked with sharp weapons. However, exact cause of death will be known after postmortem ,”said Industrial Area PS IIC Minati Biswal.
