The land grab complaint against Jharsuguda Congress MlA Naba Kishore Das has taken a new turn with a change in the statement of the complainant before a magistrate here. At a Press meet here on Friday, many ‘facts’ came to light with statements by both MlA Das and Pramod, grandson of Gangi Munda, whose land is alleged to be registered in the name of Das. Pramod said no land has been directly purchased by Das, as alleged. During last few days, BJD members including WODC Chairman Kishore Kumar Mohanty held a meeting in Room no 201 of the Pantha Niwas at Sambalpur and Mohanty advised Pramod to act according to their directions. With this, he was under pressure to tell some lies before the police and magistrate against MlA Das. It was nothing but a misunderstanding. Pramod also said that his family was not frightened by MlA Das at any point of time.
Besides, MlA Das stated that it is nothing but an unsuccessful attempt by former MlA and WODC Chairman Kishore Mohanty to spoil his political career. When contacted, Kishore Mohanty denied to have any role in the whole story. MlA Das said that determined for an all-round development of Jharsuguda, the Congress would continue its welfare activities in full swing and public would give a befitting reply to such injustice at right time, Das added.
