A group of persons of Ward-8 of the town lodged a written complaint on Friday to the local Tehsildar alleging that the Muslim community of the town were illegally constructing a “Madrasa” encroaching upon a patch of Government land.
Further they threatened to launch agitation if the administration failed to evict the building structure from the locality.
However, refuting the allegation, the local Muslim community people said that the building was meant for multipurpose community hall funded by the Government.
The ongoing building construction was made by due tender process and the land was allotted by the local Tehsildar in compliance with the orders of the district administration.
The local Muslim community people are nothing to do with the allotment of the land by the revenue department. The allegation is politically motivated to target the minority community here.
They further alleged that for so many days, their community has been targeted by a group of people who have unauthorizedly formed an organization and were conducting meetings and delivering hate speeches in the locality and playing divisive politics in the name of Hindu-Muslim.
