A 40-year-old woman Constable attempted to commit suicide at the Mahila police station here on Monday evening.
Gitanjali Nayak attempted to end her life by consuming poison inside the police station. She was immediately rushed to the Capital Hospital by police personnel. She is stated to be out of danger.
Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi confirmed the development and said the woman cop wanted to take the extreme step because of her family disturbances, for which she was under depression.
