The Kendriya Vidyalaya-I at Janpath here has demanded construction of speed breakers in font of its main gate to check occurrence of many accidents at the place.
The school authorities said a number of accidents are taking place in front of the school’s main gate due to speedy driving by commuters, especially teenage bikers. Many casualties have been reported due to accidents at the spot during the recent past.
The school demanded construction of speed breakers as in front of the RD Women’s College here at two places in front of it so that innocent lives, especially of students and parents, crossing the road during daytime and in the evening would not be endangered.
Notably, the school has around 4,000 students for two shifts.
