Kushsan prevailing in BJD rule: Daggubati

Odisha BJP in-charge Daggubati Purandeswari on Saturday came down heavily on the BJD Government and said that instead of “Sushasan” (good governance), “Kushsan” (bad governance) is prevailing in the Naveen Patnaik regime.

“The people had voted for Naveen Patnaik; but instead of him, bureaucrats are ruling the roost. Corruption has spiralled in the State. BJD leaders are involved in coal, forest, chit fund and land scams,” said Purandeswari at a Press conference here.Former MP Ramchandra Hansda, Ministers Ranendra Pratap Swain and Arun Kumar Sahoo, Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi and many other BJD leaders are involved in various scams. Arun Sahoo is providing protection to the accused involved in Nayagarh minor girl Pari’s murder. “Still, Naveenbabu is silent over the matters,” she alleged. The law and order situation in the State has sharply deteriorated. There is no safety for girls and women. In the last few months, 5,303 children have gone missing in the State. Due to negligence of police and lackadaisical investigations, crimes against children are on the rise, she said. Besides, she criticised the State Government for not implementing the Centre’s Ayusman Bharat Yojana, which would have helped the poor people. Among others, BJP State president Samir Mohanty, Leader of Opposition in State Assembly Pradipta Naik, State general secretaries Prithiviraj Harichandan, Golak Mohapatra and Lekhashri Samantsinghar and spokesperson Thakur Ranjit Das were present.
