The contents difference in two reports on the Kunduli gangrape victim, the ‘preliminary inter-divisional report’ and ‘the final report’, of the State Forensic Science laboratory has sparked a controversy over the laboratory’s authenticity of functioning.
While the preliminary inter-divisional report telecasted by a news channel contained semen of two human beings, the final report submitted to the court has no such mention.
While the channel quoting some experts opined that contents of the inter-divisional report can’t be changed in the final report, the State Forensic laboratory has claimed that the report shown by the news channel was not collect as it was not final one.
“Aafter careful and meticulous examination of the exhibits by a group of trained scientists through various methods and techniques, including latest DNA profiling test, the final report was prepared by the laboratory and issued on October 23, 2017,” a FSl release said.
