A final preparatory meeting of the Madhumaya Panigrahi Foundation and souvenir release ceremony for organizing the 8th Kumar Punei Jahna lo-2017 here was held on Monday.
Foundation member and chief coordinator of Kumar Punei Jahna lo, advocate Prafulla Jagannath Padhi presided. Joining the event as chief guest, social worker Arati Devi in her brief address appreciated the efforts of the foundation for organising the mega event every year for the girls, students and women to popularize rural-based traditional arts and sports.
The prominent figures invited to join the event include saint of Uttarakasi (Uttarakhand) Swami Ramaswarupananda as chief guest, singer and artist Binodini Devi, Maharastra Odiya Kalyan Sangh president Bhagaban Panda. Besides, Odishi dance expert Reena Jana of Kolkata, Bharatnatyam expert and national awardee Kabya lakshmi Muralidharan of Tamilnadu, Kalbalia dance artist from Rajasthan Albar etc.
