The Jagatsinghpur district administration on Tuesday shut the Kujang Market for an indefinite period as visitors, shopkeepers and business establishments flouted Covid-19 protocols.
District Collector SK Mohapatra issued an order in this regard, which would remain in force until further orders. The Collector had gathered field enquiry reports from the local administration, which informed that the Kujang Market had become a place where the Covid guidelines were blatantly violated as there was no social distancing by shopkeepers and visitors and huge congregations were taking place despite imposition of lockdown.
