On the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of his income Upendra Kumar Naik, Assistant Engineer, Kuchinda NAC, Sambalpur, Vigilance sleuths conducted raids on his office room and houses at different places and detected assets worth Rs 2,27,20,577 in his and his family members’ names.
The detected assets include a triple stories building at Kuchinda of Rs 96,06,208, two double-storied buildings at Kuchinda of Rs 33,37,462, and deposits in different banks and post offices of 73,17,943.
Besides, Naik has deposited Rs 88,75,105 towards premium in different LIC policies. The inquiry was still on progress, informed an official release.
