Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Sunday informed that the capacity of the Hindustan Aeronautics ltd (HAl) engine factory in Koraput district would be doubled in next two to four years.He also said the ordnance factory at Badmal in Balangir district would also be expanded.”
The capacity of HAl engine factory in Koraput district will be doubled in three-four years and work for the same will be started in six-seven months. Similarly, the ordnance factory at Badmal will also be expanded,” Parrikar told reporters here.
He said, “In Odisha, we can help create some employment even without taking Rs 100.”
He also informed that zero balance accounts of 21.7 crore people in the country have been opened during the first two year tenure of the BJP Government at the Centre.
Nearly, 3.5 crore fake lPG connections were also cancelled during the last two years with a surplus revenue of Rs 17,000 crore, he said.
