In a shocking incident, the dead bodies of two family members of a town-based businessman were recovered from a hotel at Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh on Monday. The deceased were Kuntala Panda (59) and her son Amit (37).
Reports said businessman Radha Nath Panda along with his wife Kuntala and son Amit had left for Vizianagaram for treatment on August 4.
The incident came to light at around 3 pm on the day when the staff of the hotel checked the rooms in suspicion after the occupants did not open the door and come out.
The hotel staffs informed local police, who then recovered the bodies. According to reports, the room was booked in the name of Radha Panda and so far the exact reason behind the deaths is yet to be ascertained.
Sources said the businessman who is still absconding, was last seen leaving the hotel earlier in the day as per the hotel’s CCTV footage. Investigation is on into the matter.
