According to sources, one Suresh Mohanty of Patia, owner of a travera vehicle, had lodged an FIR against his driver Manoj Sahu for lifting his vehicle at the Infocity police station.
As a result, a police team on Thursday conducted a raid at Balia village with the help of Mahakalapada counterpart to nab Manoj.
However, tension erupted when the police personnel with the help of the owner of the travera attempted to take Manoj to Bhubaneswar by breaking the door and assaulting him along with his family members, including women.

So he left the vehicle in front of Chauliaganj police station and came to his house by informing the matter to his owner.
But the police personnel were hell-bent to take him with them .As a result, tension erupted with villagers gheraoing the police personnel and not allowing them to take Manoj into custody.
