Unidentified miscreants late on Wednesday night set fire to the cattle shed of sarpanch candidate Anjana Rout of Alapua GP under the Pattamundai police station.
Anjana lodged an FIR with the Pattamundai police on Thursday alleging that some miscreants torched the cattle shed at her house at Damodarpatana (Routsahi). As a result, three cattle sustained burn injuries.
She suspected that it might be the handiwork of her rival candidates. The police are investigating the case, but no arrests have so far been made in this connection, said Pattamundai PS IIC Ramesh Chandra Mukhi.
