The Kendrapara Sadar police on Saturday arrested OSCAR Science College Secretary Umesh Sahu on charges of cheating and misbehaving with students’ guardians when they demanded Transfer Certificates because of closure of the college.
IIC Nilakantha Prasad Patra said one Ramesh Sahu, a student guardian, had on Thursday lodged an FIR at the police station against Umesh Sahu alleging that students were not taught for last one month as Sahu did not pay to the building owner. He along with many other guardians went to take Sahu and sought Transfer Certificate and No objection Certificates of their wards. But Sahu denied to provide the sand and misbehaved with them. He also threatened them of dire consequences.
The police registered a case and arrested Sahu acting on the complaint. He was later forwarded to court and sent to jail custody, said the IIC.
