The Rajnagar police on Tuesday rescued a 19-year-old kidnapped girl, Pravati Das of Paramanandapur village in Kendrapada district, from Nagpur and arrested a woman in this connection.
Police sources said Das was kidnapped from her house by Basanti Jena of Rajendranarayanpur village under the Rajnagar police station on June 10. Jena, who got married in Uttar Pradesh, took the girl on the pretext of finding a job for her and a good candidate to marry her in Nagpur without the knowledge of her parents.
