The Congress activists led by Ali MlA Debendra Sharma on Friday staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate here protesting large-scale corruption in the ongoing Government sponsored poverty alleviation, housing and old-age pension schemes in all the blocks of the district. They demanded before the district administration to start a proper inquiry on projects like NFSA ration card, Biju Pakka Ghar and Indira Awas schemes.
They also demanded to take action against the errant officials involved in the corruption within a month, else the party will resort civil disobedience movement in coming days.
“The Congress activists would throw eggs to the corrupt officials and prevent them not to enter into the villages,” threatened Debendra Sharma.
