Koshal Dal demands IIM location at R'kela

As the last date for submission of land status reports by six district Collectors to the State Government for the proposed Odisha IIM ended on September 10, various organisations and institutions continue their demand for location of the national institute in their respective regions.

Now, the Koshal Kranti Dal (KKD) has urged the Chief Minister in favour of Rourkela as the venue of the proposed project on the plea that it is an immensely suitable place from every aspect.

In this regard, the KKD has submitted a memorandum to the CM through the Rourkela ADM.

According to KKD vice-president BN Mishra, since Rourkela is a city which can keep coordination with eastern and western Odisha, it would be a better place than others for an IIM. And with establishment of an IIM at Rourkela the regional imbalance in the State would be curbed to a large extent, Mishra argued.
