Koshal Dal demands ESIC college, separate State

Published on:

Pressing the demand of an ESIC Medical College and Hospital at Rourkela and formation of a separate Koshal State, members of the Kosal Kranti Dal (KKD) staged a demonstration at Vedavyas Chowk here on Monday and burnt effigies of Sundargarh MP Hemanand Biswal and the seven MlAs of the district.

The KKD leaders stated that for a long time it has been demanded that an ESIC Medical College be established at Rourkela, but both the State and Union Governments have been neglecting the demand and the KKD would not tolerate the apathetical attitude of both the Governments any more.

Besides, the MPs and MlAs had been urged to raise the issue of a separate State of Koshal in the last winter sessions of Parliament and State Assembly, but they failed to do so, the KKD leaders said.

The demonstration was led by KKD district president Rama Chandra Amat. Among others, Sagar Singh Manki, Shree Toppo,  Hrudananda Behera, Manoj Rautia, Sital Pathal, Rathi Kissa, Manoj Kalash, Pradyumna Meher, Jaya Singh, Madhu Singh, Hyder Ali, Santosh Minz, Mansuk Samasi and Balram were present.
